Write-a-thons

Each evening , you can attend the optional write-a-thon session, which kicks off with a mini-session from our authors, or a tidbit from our industry professionals. It’s always great to write with other creative minds, but even better to brainstorm an idea with a bestselling author or an agent or an editor, who may have a different perspective than you on what sells, what works, what will get you a contract. This event is also a great opportunity to network and get to know other authors and our guest industry professionals.

Of course, if all you want to do is say hello and call it a night, you are more than welcome to do that, too.

Learn

Fuel your creative drive by learning new tools and / or looking at familiar techniques in a fresh way at the beginning of the cruise. Our first cruising days will be filled with writing workshops from a top industry writing teacher, who will give you access to their brain for two days. During this time you’ll learn, workshop, and grow as a writer. Throughout the cruise, you’ll also be able to meet with the instructor for a 20 minute one-on-one session, where they will look at your pages, give you their feedback, and answer any questions you may have.

You’ll also have the opportunity to meet for 10 minutes with each of our bestselling authors to talk shop, brainstorm, or have them sign your copy of their latest bestselling book!

Editor and Agent Pitch Sessions

When you book your cruise, you’ll have the option to sign up for a one-on-one editor and / or agent pitch session. This is a 10 minute pitch session, but if you don’t have a manuscript ready to pitch, don’t sweat! You can also use this time to introduce yourself, ask any publishing questions you have, and make a connection.
